Sherman Smith

From there, he went on to be drafted in the second round of the 1976 NFL draft by the Seattle Seahawks. Sherman spent eight years in the NFL where he was nicknamed "The Tank" because of his hard nosed running style.

Following his playing career, Sherman began teaching and coaching. He was an assistant coach for multiple NFL teams including the Houston Oilers (became the Tennessee Titans), Washington Redskins, and Seattle Seahawks.

Sherman called plays as the Offensive Coordinator for the Redskins, before winning a Super Bowl as the Running Backs coach for the Seattle Seahawks.
